Ito na nga ang librong ito na ngayon ay pinamagatang Pugad Baboy One Kung magbabasa ka ng seryeng ito, magsimula ka rito dahil ipinapakilalang unti-unti ang mga tauhan. Sa seryeng ito unang lumabas sina: Dagul Adagulfo Sungcal, Jr. Si Dagul o Mang Dagul ay isang chef sa isang hotel restaurant at nag-aaral din sya ng martial arts at golf. Kules Hercules Sungcal ang panganay nina Dagul at Debbie.
Isang inyenhero na nagtratrabaho sa Saudi Arabia. Brosia Ambrosia Tangara ang bobang katulong ng mga Sungcal. May isang strip dito na natawa ako. Pedeng DJ sa radyo, pedeng humawak ng machine gun. Pedeng magpa-atras sa mga bakulaw sa gubat. Nakakatuwa itong si Polgas. Tomas Sabaybunot ang sundalong kaibigan ng mga Sungcal. Bab Roberto Lamoun ang dating kasintahan ni Tiny. Ka Noli Nolasco M. Tangere ang NPA o komunista na naging kaibigan ni Tomas.
Laban ka? Mas madali palang ma- enjoy ang buong serye kung magsisimula ka sa una. Kaso nabasa ko na ang Five at Six noong mga dalawang buwan na ang nakakalipas.
Problema lang ng One may mga limang strips na naulit. Sa totoo lang, parang mas gusto ko ang halu-halo o di organized strips ayon sa mga paksa. Mas parang nagbabasa ka lang ng Inquirer araw-araw ang dating. Kapag organized kasi, at may parang siningit lang, pumapangit tuloy. Parang buhay lang, may iba-iba kang nararanasan araw-araw. Ngayon ay may Book 23 na at babasahin ko silang lahat. Ganyan ako kabaliw sa seryeng ito!!! Tangkilikin ang sariling atin!

There was even a short-lived live action television series at one time. It all started with this compilation. This being the first compilation of his earliest strips, the humor and the references are dated but nostalgia could still trigger a few laughs. It is ama Pol Medina Jr. It is amazing that Medina was able to create fully-formed characters to populate his fictional universe. His strip has managed to last this long, in its third decade now, because of his characters.
If you are new to Pugad Baboy, it would be best for you to try the more recent strip compilations, but if you were already around by the time the 90's rolled in, you might get a nostalgic trip from this one.
