Then, the rep had me turn off automatic updates. To me, this seemed like just putting a bandaid on the problem, but it got me back on my computer. This morning, I found this forum and your recommended fix to the problem. I downloaded , but when I attempted to run it, it gave me an error message that "This update does not apply to your system", even though I do have Vista Home Premium.
